The Dragon and The Raven is a tale of England before it was England, back in the days when the Saxons were dealing with the raiding Vikings during the 9th century. The story follows young Edmund who is forced, at only fourteen years of age, to become a warrior and defend his land. Edmund becomes a member of a crew on the ship called The Dragon and they bravely fight several battles with Vikings, with Edmund going through numerous perilous adventures in the process of fighting the Norsemen off, including being captured and having an odd romance with the daughter of the enemy.

George Alfred Henty (1832-1902) was a prolific English novelist and war correspondent. He is best known for his historical adventure novels and stories. Henty's novels typically revolve around a boy or young man living in troubled times. These ranged from the Punic War to more recent conflicts such as the Napoleonic Wars or the American Civil War. Henty's heroes which occasionally included young ladies are uniformly intelligent, courageous, honest and resourceful with plenty of 'pluck' yet are also modest. His works include The Dragon& The Raven, For The Temple, Under Drake's Flag and In Freedom's Cause.

Bei den Formaten PDF und EPUB ohne DRM müssen Sie lediglich prüfen, ob Ihr E-Book Reader kompatibel ist. Wenn ein Format mit DRM genutzt wird, besteht zusätzlich die Notwendigkeit, dass Sie einen kostenlosen Adobe® Digital Editions Account besitzen. Wenn Sie ein E-Book, das Adobe® Digital Editions benötigt herunterladen, erhalten Sie eine ASCM-Datei, die zu Digital Editions hinzugefügt und mit Ihrem Account verknüpft werden muss. Einige E-Book Reader (zum Beispiel PocketBook Touch) unterstützen auch das direkte Eingeben der Login-Daten des Adobe Accounts – somit können diese ASCM-Dateien direkt auf das betreffende Gerät kopiert werden.
Da E-Books nur für eine begrenzte Zeit – in der Regel 6 Monate – herunterladbar sind, sollten Sie stets eine Sicherheitskopie auf einem Dauerspeicher (Festplatte, USB-Stick oder CD) vorsehen. Auch ist die Menge der Downloads auf maximal 5 begrenzt.
