The American Indian as Participant in the Civil War is one of the first historical accounts dealing with the participations of Native American in the American Civil War. Native Americans took active participation in the conflict. 28,693 Native Americans served during the war, mostly in the Confederate military. They participated in battles such as Pea Ridge, Second Manassas, Antietam, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, and in Federal assaults on Petersburg.

Annie Heloise Abel (1873 1947) was among the earliest professional historians to study Native Americans. She was one of the first thirty women in the United States to earn a PhD in history. One of the ablest historians of her day, Abel was an expert on the history of British and American Indian policies.

Einige E-Book Reader (zum Beispiel PocketBook Touch) unterstützen auch das direkte Eingeben der Login-Daten des Adobe Accounts – somit können diese ASCM-Dateien direkt auf das betreffende Gerät kopiert werden.
