The King's Own Borderers is a historical romance set in the time of Napoleonic Wars and it follows the career of a volunteer soldier, serving with a line regiment. Quentin Kennedy was saved, as a small child, from a shipwreck in which his father drowned while his mother was left in France, with no chance to reunite. Quentin was raised in Scotland by Lord and Lady Rohallion and found love in lovely Flora Warrender, but when a moment came to go to war, Quentin went on to seek adventure and family.

James Grant (1822-1887) was a Scottish novelist and miscellaneous writer. He was a prolific author, writing some 90 books. Titles included The Romance of War, Adventures of an Aide-de-Camp, The Scottish Musketeers and The Scottish Cavalier. Many of his novels are about important characters and events in Scottish history. He also wrote about Scottish heroes and heroines caught in some of the most important battles across Europe.

Wenn ein Format mit DRM genutzt wird, besteht zusätzlich die Notwendigkeit, dass Sie einen kostenlosen Adobe® Digital Editions Account besitzen. Wenn Sie ein E-Book, das Adobe® Digital Editions benötigt herunterladen, erhalten Sie eine ASCM-Datei, die zu Digital Editions hinzugefügt und mit Ihrem Account verknüpft werden muss. Einige E-Book Reader (zum Beispiel PocketBook Touch) unterstützen auch das direkte Eingeben der Login-Daten des Adobe Accounts – somit können diese ASCM-Dateien direkt auf das betreffende Gerät kopiert werden.
Da E-Books nur für eine begrenzte Zeit – in der Regel 6 Monate – herunterladbar sind, sollten Sie stets eine Sicherheitskopie auf einem Dauerspeicher (Festplatte, USB-Stick oder CD) vorsehen. Auch ist die Menge der Downloads auf maximal 5 begrenzt.
