This book discusses water resources management in Romania from a hydrological perspective, presenting the latest research developments and state-of-the-art knowledge that can be applied to efficiently solve a variety of problems in integrated water resources management. It focuses on a wide range of water resources issues from hydrology and water quantity, quality and supply to flood protection, hydrological hazards and ecosystems, and includes case studies from various watersheds in Romania. As such, the book appeals to researchers, practitioners and graduates as well as to anybody interested in water resources management.

Abdelazim M. Negm is a professor of Water Resources at the Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University, Egypt, since 2004. He got his PhD in 1992 from Zagazig University (ZU) an his Msc from Ain shams University in the year 1990. He was the vice dean of the Faculty of Engineering of ZU from 12/2008 to 12/2011 and was the head of the Environmental Engineering Dept. at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Egypt 10/2013 to 9/2015.
Prof. Dr. Gheorghe Romanescu is the head of the Physical Geography Chair at the Geography Department of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University in Iai. He published 32 books and university courses, 87 articles in volumes, 5 newspaper columns. He coordinated or collaborated to 28 research contracts and grants and won 2 individual studentships (grants). He went on 7 scientific expeditions, on every continent and at all latitudes (from Laponia and Labrador up to Tierra del Fuego). His fields of competence are: Hydrology, Oceanography, Geomorphology (coastline dynamics; sedimentology of wetlands and lacustrine complexes).
Prof. Martina Zeleáková currently serves as an associate professor at the Institute of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Ko¨ice. In the context of her scientific research activities she has focused on water management and environmental impact assessment. The results of her work have been published in books, journals, and conferences proceedings. She has engaged in variety of national and international projects.
