Beschreibung
The increasing demand for eco-friendly synthesized bio-based compounds allowing highly efficient, cost effective and has now opened new windows of opportunity in the replacement of chemicals by converting them into nanomaterials. The microwave treatment of Bentonite clay with H2SO4 brings about the changes in clay by ion exchange in between the layer of Bentonite clay leads to increasing acidity. The acidity of the acid activated clay samples were measured by pyridine adsorbed by FTIR technique. Thus, it appearing the most suitable catalysts for synthesis of organic compounds with high product yield. The present investigation revealed that small quantity of catalyst required for the synthesis of Schiff's bases under solvent free condition using microwave irradiation.Further, the prepared acid modified bentonite clay catalyst acts as nano photocatalyst and used in degradation of dyes and it is recyclable photocatalysts
