This book sets out a series of techniques that have been developed to estimate the environmental impact of afforestation. It offers guidelines and decision support systems (DSS) to enable national and international policy makers as well as forest managers to maximize the benefits and minimize the adverse effects of afforestation. This book summarizes afforestation research and shows the application of the developed decision support system.
